SMITHVILLE ISD MEETING
An unusual meeting at the SISD on May 16,
There was a full house; parents, grandparents and children cheering for all the students that received recognition for their achievements.
The meeting began as follows ;
Students Led Pledge of Allegiance
Administer Statement of Officer to Elected Trustees
Oath of Office for New Board Members
Reorganization of the Board of trustees
Board Recognitions
Recognition of Student Achievements
Character Education Speakers
Recognition of Outstanding Students for the Fourth Nine-Weeks
Tiger Award Recipient Recognition.
After celebrating and cheering families left and the Regular meeting began,
In the Agenda:
They discussed about ; Approval of 2022-2023 Salary Schedules, employ a special education teacher, covid-19 update, superintendent’s report, Graduation
Ceremony procedures, Student Dress Code,sending a delegate to the TASA/TASB Convention Delegate Assembly, etc.
The new board members are Josh Magden Place 6 and Michael Hancock Place 7
Seating in Place 5 Candice Parsons after her reelection.
