Elgin TX Independent School District

To help prepare for the future, Elgin ISD has convened the 2023 Citizens’ Bond Committee. This group is charged with reviewing needs across the district, studying our most recent demographics report, considering the needs of all students, and ultimately recommending projects and solutions that are fiscally sound to the Elgin ISD Board of Trustees, who will determine if there is to be a bond election.

The committee met on Sept. 11 and 25, touring Neidig Elementary and Booker T. Washington Elementary, respectively. Most recently, the committee met on Wednesday, Oct. 11, touring Elgin Elementary.

The group will meet again in the coming months at remaining campuses in Elgin ISD to dive deep into school finance, building ages and conditions of each campus, capacity and more.

We greatly appreciate the time, effort and feedback given through this process.
