- Presentation Of The 2023 City Business Park Commercial Investment Status Report
- Building Standard Commission (BSC) Quarterly Report
- Board Of Adjustments (BOA) Quarterly Report
- Library Advisory Board Quarterly Report
- General Activity Report And/Or Project Update
To summarize: For #1, all projects were listed in the presentation with $127M in Development Agreements; $6.7M in Land Sales; $7.8M for Land Development. The projects should lead to approximately 400 jobs in the Elgin area.
To summarize: For #5, the Ground Breaking event will be held at 10am on September 26 with the work to start by that time.
The City Manager stated that a low to medium apartment project on Second Street is being considered. The zoning is in compliance. The City Council will not be able to approve or disapprove the action. A resolution will need to be passed after a Public Hearing is held. Residents have stated several challenges with the development in that area.
All Consent Agenda Items were approved.
Under New Business the first two items were approved. The second two items required approvals for these First Readings of the Ordinances.
- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH AMANDA CARTER OF ELGIN, TEXAS RE-APPOINTING HER AS JUDGE OF THE CITY OF ELGIN MUNICIPAL COURT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY CHARTER; MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT; AND PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS
- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE DOWNTOWN ELGIN CONSOLIDATED TRASH COLLECTION PILOT PROGRAM AND MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RELATED THERETO.
- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, TEXAS APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PROPOSED BUDGET FOR THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER 1, 2023, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2024, AND PROVIDING THAT EXPENDITURES FOR SAID BUDGET SHALL BE MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID BUDGET.
- AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE INTEREST AND SINKING FUND FOR THE 2023-24 TAX YEAR.
